The 2021 NFL season doesn’t start for approximately another five months, but there are already plenty of opportunities for sports bettors to make some football wagers. In the aftermath of the league announcing that the schedule has been increased to 17 games, win totals have been established for all 32 teams.

On Friday morning, William Hill Sportsbook released odds that gave the Kansas City Chiefs the NFL’s highest win total. The over/under for the reigning AFC champions is 12 wins. Kansas City ranks just ahead of the Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are second in the NFL and first in the NFC at 11.5 wins.

Tampa Bay defeated Kansas City in February’s Super Bowl, but the Chiefs have proven to be a regular-season juggernaut. Kansas City had an NFL-best 14-2 record in 2020. In three seasons with Patrick Mahomes as the starting quarterback, the Chiefs have never won fewer than 12 games.

Tom Brady led the Bucs to an 11-5 record in his first season with Tampa Bay. In the last 17 seasons during which Brady has made at least 12 starts, the legendary quarterback has never won fewer than 10 games.

The Green Bay Packers, who were defeated by the Bucs in the NFC Championship Game, are tied for third in the NFL with a win total of 11 victories. Aaron Rodgers won his third MVP award last season.

The Baltimore Ravens’ win total has also been set at 11 by William Hill. Baltimore went 11-5 in the 2020 season and made a trip to the divisional playoffs. Lamar Jackson is 30-7 in his career as the Ravens starting quarterback.

The Los Angeles Rams and Buffalo Bills are tied with an over/under win total of 10.5. L.A. made one of the biggest offseason additions by trading for Matthew Stafford. The Bills won the AFC East with a 13-3 record and reached the AFC Championship Game.

With a win total of 10, the San Francisco 49ers have the highest expectations of any team that missed last year’s playoffs. San Francisco is tied with the Seattle Seahawks, who finished six games ahead of the 49ers to win the NFC West.

In nine years with Seattle, Russell Wilson has averaged 10.9 wins per season.

The Indianapolis Colts and Cleveland Browns are also projected to win 10 games. Indianapolis traded for Carson Wentz. Cleveland has high expectations after its first playoff win in 26 years.

The Dallas Cowboys’ win total is 9.5. Dak Prescott missed most of last season with an ankle injury and the Cowboys finished a disappointing 6-10.

The Detroit Lions and Houston Texans are tied at the bottom of the league with a win total of five victories.
