Of the 12 teams in the 2019 NFL playoffs, four face the most difficult path to Super Bowl LIII. After reaching the postseason with wild-card berths, the Philadelphia Eagles, Los Angeles Chargers, Seattle Seahawks and Indianapolis Colts would likely have to win three straight road games in order to make it out of the conference.

Which wild-card team has the best chance of winning the Super Bowl? Let’s rank them, starting with the team that is the most likely to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

1) Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers are just as good as most of the division winners, having tied the Kansas City Chiefs for the AFC’s best record. They fell into the No.5 seed because the Chiefs own the tiebreaker, making the Chargers the most dangerous road team on Wild-Card Weekend. Winning on the road against the Baltimore Ravens won’t be easy, but Los Angeles has already proven that they can win at Arrowhead Stadium in a potential matchup with the No.1 seed. Philip Rivers has a 104.7 passer rating on the road, where the team went an NFL-best 7-1.

2) Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks know they can beat the Dallas Cowboys in the first round because they handily defeated Dallas in Week 3. Seattle nearly upset the Los Angeles Rams twice, and there’s a good chance they’d have to go through L.A. in a potential Super Bowl run. Russell Wilson is an even better player than when he competed in two Super Bowls a few seasons ago. With a top rushing attack and an above-average defense, Seattle might have the recipe to give the NFC’s explosive offenses some trouble this postseason.

3) Philadelphia Eagles

You can’t count Philadelphia out after watching Nick Foles win the Super Bowl MVP a year ago. The Eagles seem to have regained the magic that led them to the 2018 championship with three straight wins to end the season. Foles and Philadelphia won on the road against the Rams just a few weeks ago. Winning two straight games in Chicago and in New Orleans, however, will prove to be extremely difficult.

4) Indianapolis Colts

The Colts arguably have the best chance of any wild-card team to win in the first round since they already beat the Houston Texans on the road and nearly defeated their division rival in Indianapolis earlier this season. It’s just hard to imagine the AFC’s No.6 seed will be able to win in Kansas City and New England, which would likely be their path to the Super Bowl. The Patriots went undefeated at Gillette Stadium in the regular season, including a 14-point win over the Colts that extended New England’s winning streak over Indianapolis to eight games.
