Week 3 of the 2018 NFL season got off to a hot start when Baker Mayfield made his pro debut and led the Cleveland Browns to their first victory in 635 days on “Thursday Night Football.” There should be plenty of more excitement Sunday when some of the league’s best quarterbacks face off in important early-season matchups.

Here’s a look at the five best games on the Week 3 schedule:

New Orleans Saints at Atlanta Falcons

One of these NFC South rivals will fall below .500 after being projected to be among the conference’s top Super Bowl contenders. With Drew Brees and Matt Ryan going head-to-head indoors, this has the potential to be a shootout much like New Orleans’ season opener in which the final score nearly reached 90 total points. The Saints have questions about their defense, while the Falcons are hoping their red-zone issues are solved after winning in Week 2.

San Francisco 49ers at Kansas City Chiefs

The matchup between two of the NFL’s best young quarterbacks might be the most fun on the entire schedule. With the week’s highest over/under of 55.5, according to OddsShark, you can bet there will be a ton of points scored. Patrick Mahomes is the only quarterback in NFL history to throw 10 touchdown passes in the first two games of a season, and he's only had three career starts. Jimmy Garoppolo should be able to carve up a Chiefs’ defense that’s 31st in yards per play allowed.

Indianapolis Colts at Philadelphia Eagles

All eyes will be on Carson Wentz, who is playing his first game since suffering a torn ACL last December. Deshaun Watson hasn’t exactly looked like his old self since coming back from the same injury. Will Wentz have a similar adjustment period after playing as well as any quarterback in 2017 before getting hurt? Andrew Luck and the Colts are trying to upset an NFC East team on the road for the second straight week.

Los Angeles Chargers at Los Angeles Rams

There’s probably more overall talent in this game than any other on the Week 3 schedule. Both teams entered the season as favorites to win their respective divisions, and it’s the only contest that features two teams that rank in the top five in yards per play. The Rams have been the league’s most dominant team with a plus-54 point differential. Let’s see if they can continue to look like the top Super Bowl contender when they host a potential playoff team that can put up a lot of points.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Can the Steelers ignore all the controversy that’s surrounded the team and finally win a game? Can Ryan Fitzpatrick stay red-hot and continue to play like the best quarterback in football? There are plenty of questions heading into this “Monday Night Football” matchup between the two teams that have arguably been the NFL’s biggest surprises, but for very different reasons.
