After weeks and weeks of speculation that the Arizona Cardinals would take Kyler Murray with the first overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Heisman Trophy winner indeed was the first player off the board Thursday night. That almost certainly means Josh Rosen will be traded, though his list of potential landing spots has dwindled because of what happened in the first round.

The New York Giants reportedly had discussions about dealing for Rosen, but that's no longer an option since the team took Duke quarterback Daniel Jones with the sixth pick in the draft. Speculation that the Washington Redskins might trade for Rosen ended when they picked Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins at No.15 overall.

That leaves the Miami Dolphins as the clear favorites to make a trade with Arizona. The team is in need of a quarterback for the future, and they decided not to take one with the 13th overall selection.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Thursday before the first round started that the Dolphins and Giants were two teams that had discussed making a trade for Rosen with the Cardinals.

There's been speculation that the Los Angeles Chargers or New England Patriots might make a play for Rosen. Philip Rivers and Tom Brady only have so many years left, and L.A. and New England could be searching for their future replacements.

The Patriots reportedly liked Rosen a year ago when Arizona traded up to the 10th overall pick in order to take the former UCLA quarterback. There's a chance that the decisions by the Chargers and Patriots to pass on Missouri quarterback Drew Lock toward the end of the first round are indications that neither team will give up a draft pick for Rosen.

It might only take a third-rounder to acquire the Cardinals’ quarterback. There’s a chance that Arizona won't make a trade right away, though it only makes sense that they would look to deal Rosen before Friday night's second and third round.

The Cincinnati Bengals are considered a possible landing spot for Rosen, as well.
