Of the five teams that are still fighting to earn a playoff spot, four are favored in Week 17 of the 2019 NFL season. Three teams in contention for a first-round bye are laying more than 12 points. Five teams that have been eliminated from contention are favored in their season finales.

Below are picks against the spread for every game in Week 17, as well as updated betting odds at Las Vegas and online sportsbooks. Betting lines and trends are courtesy of OddsShark.

Los Angeles Chargers (+8.5) at Kansas City Chiefs

With New England needing a win over Miami to secure the AFC’s second playoff bye, it could become apparent early in the second half that Kansas City has nothing on the line. Given the chance that Patrick Mahomes and other starters could sit in the fourth quarter, it’s hard to lay more than a touchdown with the Chiefs.

Prediction ATS: Los Angeles

Chicago Bears (+1) at Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota is locked into the No.6 seed. Don’t be surprised if they treat Week 17 like a bye week. The Bears beat the Vikings 16-6 earlier this season. Chicago’s pass rush could have a field day against a Minnesota offensive line that was just dominated by Green Bay. Kirk Cousins has been sacked 10 times in his last two meetings with the Bears.

Prediction ATS: Chicago

New York Jets (+1.5) at Buffalo Bills

Sean McDermott told reporters that Josh Allen and most of Buffalo’s starters will play, despite the Bills being stuck as the No.5 seed. Buffalo’s defense is good enough to eke out a close win over the Jets, even if the offense isn’t very productive.

Prediction ATS: Buffalo

New Orleans Saints (-13) at Carolina Panthers

The Panthers have been in a freefall for a few weeks, and things are even worse with Will Grier under center. The rookie quarterback helped extend Carolina’s losing streak to seven games in Week 16 with three interceptions. On the heels of two consecutive big wins, New Orleans should roll to a win with hopes of earning a bye.

Prediction ATS: New Orleans

Cleveland Browns (-2.5) at Cincinnati Bengals

The Browns barely defeated the Bengals a few weeks ago. It would be a fitting end to a disappointing season for Cleveland to lose to the NFL’s worst team. Cincinnati is playing hard, losing by more than one score just once in the last six weeks.

Prediction ATS: Cincinnati

Green Bay Packers (-12.5) at Detroit Lions

The Lions are the only NFC team that’s been worse than the Panthers in the second half of the season. Detroit last won in October, and they’ve suffered three consecutive defeats by at least 10 points. The Lions haven’t scored more than 20 points in five straight games. Green Bay is playing for a bye and possibly the NFC’s No.1 seed.

Prediction: Green Bay

Miami Dolphins (+15.5) at New England Patriots

The Patriots still have too many issues on offense to lay more than two touchdowns. The Dolphins are averaging 26.2 points over the last six games. Miami is 7-4 against the spread in its last 11 games.

Prediction ATS: Miami

Atlanta Falcons (+1) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Jameis Winston’s interceptions came back to bite the Bucs when he didn’t have his two Pro-Bowl receivers last week. The Falcons are playing pretty well on both sides of the ball with five wins in their last seven games.

Prediction ATS: Atlanta

Washington Redskins (+10.5) at Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys tend to dominate the teams they are supposed to beat. Dallas has scored more than 30 points in all seven of their wins. Five of those victories have come by at least 18 points.

Prediction ATS: Dallas

Tennessee Titans (-3.5) at Houston Texans

Bill O’Brien has said Houston will play their starters, even though the Texans are guaranteed to host a wild-card round game. Let’s see if the head coach sticks to that plan after a few key players were banged up in Week 16. Tennessee might still win with both teams at full strength, considering how well the offense continues to play and how inconsistent Houston has been.

Prediction ATS: Tennessee

Pittsburgh Steelers (-2.5) at Baltimore Ravens

Without Lamar Jackson, Mark Ingram and Marshal Yanda, the Ravens will have difficulty moving the ball against an elite Pittsburgh defense. Maybe Devlin Hodges will avoid making any major mistakes with Baltimore’s top defenders resting for a playoff run.

Prediction ATS: Pittsburgh

Indianapolis Colts (-3.5) at Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars have lost six of their last seven games by double digits. Indianapolis blew out Jacksonville 33-13 during that span. The Jaguars are 2-5 against the spread at home and 4-7 ATS as an underdog.

Prediction ATS: Indianapolis

Philadelphia Eagles (-4.5) at New York Giants

Nothing has been easy for the Eagles this season. That probably won’t change when they visit the Giants, who nearly won in Philadelphia a few weeks ago and have scored 77 points in the last two games. The Eagles are 3-5 against the spread as a favorite.

Prediction ATS: New York

Arizona Cardinals (+7) at Los Angeles Rams

It’s unknown if Kyler Murray will play Sunday because of a hamstring injury. The Rams defeated the Cardinals 34-7 a month ago. The result could be similar if Brett Hundley is under center against Los Angeles. The Rams are 8-4 against the spread as a favorite.

Prediction ATS: Los Angeles

Oakland Raiders (+3.5) at Denver Broncos

The Raiders need a win to have any chance of making the playoffs. Derek Carr is coming off his best game in a couple of months. Oakland had no trouble moving the ball against Denver when the teams met in the season opener.

Prediction ATS: Oakland

San Francisco 49ers (-3) at Seattle Seahawks

Whether it’s because of injuries, poor execution or a combination of the two, San Francisco’s defense has taken a major step back in the second half of the season. The 49ers have given up at least 25 points in six of their last eight games, including a home loss against the Seahawks. Jadeveon Clowney is likely returning for Seattle. It’s hard not to pick Russell Wilson when he’s getting points at home.

Prediction ATS: Seattle
