  • Shaquille O'Neal reportedly exited the show after technical difficulties slightly delayed production
  • Jonas will be joining Shakira and YouTuber Liza Koshy on the "Dancing with Myself" judging panel

Nick Jonas has joined NBC's upcoming reality competition series.

Jonas replaced Shaquille O'Neal on "Dancing with Myself" as a "dance creator" and judge after the NBA legend exited the series, Entertainment Weekly reported.

The change came after technical difficulties with the show's sets slightly delayed production, according to Deadline, which broke the news.

Jonas will be joining Shakira and YouTuber Liza Koshy on the "Dancing with Myself" judging panel. Camille Kostek will serve as host of the series.

Each episode will feature the trio of creators designing and demonstrating dance challenges for the contestants. The show competitors will have a short time to learn the new routines, put their own spin on them, and then perform the routines in front of a studio audience, who will ultimately determine the winner.

The series has yet to announce a premiere date. However, production is expected to begin next week.

O'Neal was initially selected for the show because of his popular dancing videos on social media, EW noted.

The NBA legend has a connection with Jonas as O'Neal previously showed up at the premiere of the Jonas Brothers' documentary "Chasing Happiness" in 2019 where he called out Nick's name, according to the outlet.

Meanwhile, Jonas and his wife Priyanka Chopra celebrated their first Holi as parents Friday. The couple shared some photos and videos on social media of their backyard Festival of Colors.

"To be able to find some joy at a time when the world feels so scary is such a blessing," Chopra wrote in the caption of her post on Instagram. "Happy Holi everyone. Thank you to our friends and family for playing Holi like Desi's do! Feeling blessed."

In one clip, the couple can be seen sharing a kiss while covered in different colors as Jonas rubbed more of the dust into his wife's hair.

Jonas also shared a video on TikTok where he could be seen snacking on some Jowar Dhani Chivda, a sorghum popcorn dish customary during the Hindu festival. In the earlier part of the clip, he is still wearing a crisp white shirt, but by the end of the video, he is already covered with color.

"Holi was lit," he wrote with the clip, which was set to "Holi Song" by Arun Dev Yadav.

Jonas and Chopra announced the arrival of their first child, a daughter, via surrogate back in January.
