Character posters for “No Time To Die” have officially be released and we got our first look at its leading characters, including Rami Malek’s megalomaniacal terrorist-villain named Safin.

Deadline reports that the official trailer for James Bonds 25th outing premieres Wednesday, Dec. 4. Until then, our closest look is the photos released by MGM and Universal.

These photos provide us a close look at Daniel Craig’s James Bond, who is sporting a notably un-formal tactical uniform; Ana De Arma’s Paloma, who brandishes weapons of her own; fellow MI6 agent Nomi, played by Lashana Lynch; Ben Wishaw’s Q; Léa Seydoux’s Madeleine Swann, and finally, Malek’s Safin.

We only have a few minor details of the character, but from what we know, he’s a “nasty piece of work,” according to Esquire. Yet, he will apparently be a villain unlike anything we’ve seen before. Unconfirmed reports detail him as someone who cares deeply about the environment. That remains just a rumor, as the villainous plot is yet to be confirmed.

What is confirmed is that Malek spoke about this character as someone who pushes away from villainous stereotypes. Malek even claimed that the only way he’d be on board with a terrorist-like supervillain is if Safin didn’t view terrorism as a religious or ideological act.

Safin’s a “very different kind of terrorist,” according to Malek.

He is a villain, however, that “really gets under Bond’s skin,” according to Barbara Broccoli, who is producing the super-spy film. From what we can tell from the Bond character posters, Safin is a characteristically younger villain than what we’ve seen in previous James Bond films.

Written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who is most famous for creating and starring in “Fleabag,” “No Time To Die” follows James Bond as he’s pulled out of retirement by his CIA friend to rescue a kidnapped scientist. What they both find is a mad supervillain with access to weaponry and technology that the world hasn’t seen before.
