HMD Global is expected to announce a new flagship Nokia Android smartphone in early 2018 and now it seems like its full specs have been revealed. The Nokia 9 has already passed through the China’s 3C and now the FCC, which also published screenshots of the device’s About page.

The detailed specs of the Nokia 9 was discovered buried inside the FCC’s RF report, according to GSM Arena. The upcoming Android phone is listed as having a 5.5-inch OLED display, which is also listed as being supplied by LG. Screen resolution of the display panel wasn’t listed, but this will be HMD Global’s very first Nokia Android phone with an OLED display. It was previously rumored that it may have a quad HD 1440p screen resolution.

Inside, the Nokia 9 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor, which is powering many other Android flagships in 2017. This is a bit of a good news and a bad news situation since Qualcomm already announced the more powerful Snapdragon 845 for 2018. The Snapdragon 835 is still a formidable chipset and is a great inclusion in the Nokia 9, but it might irk some users who may have wanted the “latest and greatest.”

The Nokia 9 RAM size wasn’t mentioned, but the device is listed as having 128GB of storage. A previous rumor did suggest that the Nokia could have 4GB of RAM, so that’s very much a possibility at this point.

The Nokia 9 is also listed as having a pair of 12-megapixel and 13-megapixel cameras on its back. IBT reported last week that one of these cameras could be equipped with a telephoto lens that allows x2 optical zoom. Unfortunately, the spec sheet didn’t confirm if that will truly be the case. Up front, the Nokia 9 will have a 5MP camera. This is a bit disappointing since the Nokia 8 has a 13MP front-facing shooter.

The FCC filing also revealed that the Nokia 9 will have a 3,250mAh battery which supports 18W fast charging. The handset will come with a charger, a USB cable and a pair of headphones in the box. On the software side of things, the Nokia 9 is listed as running Android 8.0 Oreo.

CAD renders for the Nokia 9 have already surfaced online showing that it will have thin bezels. The only thing that’s uncertain right now is whether it will have the taller 18:9 aspect ratio for its display, which is becoming a lot more common with other flagship devices. Rumors and leaks about the Nokia 9 have been popping up left and right for some time now and it looks like the device’s launch is imminent since it has already been certified by the FCC.

The most popular rumor about the Nokia 9 launch and release date is that it may be announced in early 2018. Previous reports indicated that it may be announced in China on Jan. 19 alongside the 2018 editions of the Nokia 6 and the Nokia 8.
