The producers of "Normal People" have warned Pornhub to take down the sex scenes compilation taken from their TV series.

The Hulu and BBC Three producers of the “Normal People” were not pleased when they learned that a 22-minute compilation of sex scenes from their 12-part series was uploaded on the adult site.

“We’re hugely disappointed that excerpts from the series of ‘Normal People’ have been used in this way. It’s both a violation of copyright and more importantly, it’s deeply disrespectful to the actors involved and to the wider creative team,” Ed Guiney, executive producer of “Normal People” and co-founder of Element Pictures, told Variety.

“We have taken appropriate steps to require that the content be removed from the platform with immediate effect.”

Meanwhile, Pornhub has already responded to Guiney’s request. Corey Price, the VP of Pornhub, said they already removed the clip from its site.

“Pornhub is fully compliant with the law. We respect all copyright requests and as soon as we become aware of the existence of these types of videos on our site, we have them removed,” Price said.

Although Pornhub has done its part, the illegal cuts from “Normal People’s” intimate scenes are still circulating on other sites. This only highlighted the challenges facing right holders and talents.

Before the issue, “Game of Thrones” experienced the same problem. According to a legal expert who wished to remain anonymous, the problem is not new at all and it happens all the time.

“You can try to take down the sites, but the commercial reality is that it is expensive to do — and another site will quickly pop up in its place,” the expert said.

“This is drawing more people to the show. Out of the negative you have got to take the positive — that exposure is possibly a help if you are trying to sell the show across the world.”

Meanwhile, Paul Mescal, who plays Connell in the series, revealed that season 2 is not in the cards. However, if the series were to return, he said it would be “amazing” to play the character again.
