A father killed his adult daughter, shot his wife before turning the gun on himself in a murder-suicide incident in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Sunday. Authorities said they arrived at the scene and found two people dead and a woman who was injured.

A police captain called the incident, which took place in a Tulsa neighborhood near 21st and Yale, a “tragic family situation.” Tulsa police Capt. Mark Ohnesorge told local media that officers responded to a home in the 5400 block of East 25th Place after receiving a call from a man who said he shot his adult daughter and planned to shoot himself.

“Officers arrived on scene, they were working with dispatch to try to talk to him to try to figure out if he would come out and talk to us,” Ohnesorge reportedly said. “Unfortunately this didn’t end up in a peaceful resolution.”

A preliminary investigation shows the man shot and killed his daughter and also shot his wife, who was rushed to the hospital. He eventually shot himself. Officers found the man and his adult daughter dead inside the home. Police have not yet identified the three.

An investigation is underway into the incident and the condition of the woman injured also remains unknown.
