As the OnePlus 2 release date nears, two significant leaks about the handset have emerged: One of them shows the “sketch” of the upcoming device, while the other leak shows alleged live images of the device.

A Weibo user named @KJuma has apparently posted a "spy sketch" of the OnePlus 2. According to the tipster, the handset will reportedly come with “almost similar appearance” as the predecessor OnePlus One. However, the speaker holes have apparently been doubled in the successor. The device will have a metal frame of 5 or 6 mm thickness. The exact screen size is unknown at this point, the tipster says, but the phone could feature a size between 5.5-inch and 5.7-inch, notes Phone Arena.

Another tipster has reportedly sent two images of the long-awaited OnePlus 2 to Phone Arena. As corroborated by the Weibo tipster, the upcoming device sports a metal chassis with significantly high screen-to-body ratio in the leaked images. The back of the handset apparently features a fingerprint scanner affixed on a vertical bar, straight under the camera unit and LED flash.

As far as the rumored OnePlus 2 specifications go, the handset will reportedly carry a 1,080 x 1,920 pixels screen resolution. Under the hood, the phone will apparently be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 chipset and will be backed by a solid 3 GB of RAM unit, says Phone Arena.

The OnePlus One successor will reportedly house a 13 MP rear-facing sensor. In addition, the device is also rumored to feature a new Type-C USB port that lets the device owner use either side of the device to insert cable. The tech titan has not confirmed the OnePlus 2 specifications so far.

In the meantime, Phone Arena says, the OnePlus 2 release date is reportedly set for July 27 at 10 pm EDT.
