OnePlus 8 Pro Leaked Diagram Unveils Dual Punch Hole, Quad-Cameras, ToF, And More

OnePlus launched the OnePlus 7T just a month ago, but leaks about its next flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 8 Pro, are already rife online. Earlier today, several sites report a series of reportedly leaked diagrams of the upcoming flagship smartphone from the Chinese maker. These diagrams reveal interesting details that we might see when OnePlus 8 Pro finally releases.

The latest leaked OnePlus 8 Pro diagrams were first reported by TrueTech and picked up by 9to5google. While the alleged OnePlus 8 Pro diagrams are not that detailed, it underlines several hardware upgrades from the current OnePlus 7/7T Pro models. The most significant change at the front is the introduction of a display cutout. The massive display also shows a prominent punch-hole notch located on the upper left side.

This means that OnePlus 8 Pro will not have the pop-up selfie camera contrasting previously leaked renders. The elongated punch hole is presumed to be intended for the two front-facing cameras, somehow closely similar to that of Samsung Galaxy S10+. At the back is a triple camera setup that maintains its predecessors’ vertical layout pointing towards another sensor.

Considering the prominence of Time of Flight sensor in most Android flagship smartphones, OnePlus might introduce the ToF sensor on OnePlus 8 Pro. These alleged OnePlus 8 Pro diagrams seemingly confirm that the next flagship smartphone from the Chinese smartphone maker will feature the same hardware button layout. It is also interesting to note that OnePlus did not do much hardware overhaul on the upcoming flagship device.

Based on the leaked OnePlus 8 Pro diagrams, it appears that the front of the smartphone comes in two varying versions. One comes with a single front-camera cutout and the other with dual selfie cameras setup. In Oct., several renders surfaced online, showing a single camera. However, the details could still change since OnePlus will have to finalize its designs.

There is an excellent chance that the diagrams show both the OnePlus 8 and the OnePlus 8 Pro. Based on the diagrams, both devices could each have one or two selfie cameras.
