Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus, this week, announced the release of the Oxygen OS Open Beta 4 build for its users. Unfortunately, the latest Oxygen OS update is, currently, only available for the OnePlus 7 Pro users, while the non-Pro variant will have to wait until next week to get the latest update.

According to the reports, the newly-released Oxygen OS Open Beta 4 brings a ton of system-level bug fixes and improvements to the OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 devices. The latest update also brings some optimizations for some stock apps.

The Chinese smartphone firm said that the new Oxygen OS update was released to address issues like screen flashing while adding the fingerprint, disabling of mobile data after a mobile upgrade and corrected issue about accidental muting of a vehicle navigation system.

As per a recent post on the OnePlus forums, the latest Oxygen OS update adds The Weather Channel as the data source for accurate weather data. The beta also added new features that will allow iPhone users to easily transfer their data through Apple’s iCloud service. This new feature is already rolling out to One Plus 7 Pro device users and is expected to hit the OnePlus 7 device users by next week.

Another important feature includes the new “Raise to lower the ringtone” gesture feature within the Sounds & Vibration settings. This new feature will allow the users to lower the volume of the ringtone when taking or answering an incoming call.

The latest Oxygen OS update also improved the visual effects of the permission pop-up window, optimized the screen issues with some mobile apps, improved system stability, expanded the dial pad area to avoid mistouches, optimized Calculator UI and interactive experience,
