White stabbed Bradley Lewis, 22, at their shared home near Bristol, South Gloucester, United Kingdom after they had broken up earlier in the day. Despite initially claiming she didn't have anything to do with Lewis' murder, White went on to admit that she picked up a knife and stabbed him after returning home from a bar. After hearing her screams, a neighbor called emergency services, but White insisted that Lewis had stabbed himself.

He died the next day from a single stab wound to the chest.

During testimony, White, who later admitted to stabbing him and pleaded guilty to manslaughter, claimed she did not intend to kill Lewis, but she wanted to "shock" and "scare" him.

However, Prosecuting attorney Anna Vigars told the court that White had experienced "anger and a sense of betrayal" over the breakup, and it was revealed in court that she had previously threatened Lewis with a knife and voice notes that were released also revealed White said a day before the murder that she feared she was capable of murdering Lewis and would "end up in prison."
