“The Originals” will be returning with more heart-stopping drama when episode 4 of Season 2 airs next Monday. Are you excited to see what’s next for our favorite clawed and fanged characters? According to the synopsis for “Live and Let Die,” which was directed by Jeffrey Hunt and written by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, next week’s installment of the hit CW series will leave you breathless with an exciting (but deadly) father-son battle.

But before any fights can take place, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) needs to track down Davina (Danielle Campbell), who is hiding out in a cabin in the woods with his father (Sebastian Roche), the vampire who kills vampires. Will the hybrid be able to sniff down the witch who is holding Mikael (as well as the white oak stake) captive? Well, we know one thing for sure -- Klaus is nothing if not determined. And if we had to bet, we’d say the hybrid will have Davina tracked down by the first few moments of episode 4 so he can complete his mission to kill his father.

“I killed them both once. I can do it again,” Klaus says in the promo video for episode 4.

It looks like this time, Mikael will be ready to fight his abomination of a son. Instead of spending his time chopping wood for a campfire, Mikael will take it upon himself to sharpen his staff fighting skills while being held hostage at Davina’s cabin.

“Confrontation is inevitable,” he says in the clip for “Live and Let Die.” And he wasn’t kidding! Fans will get to see another Mikael-Klaus showdown in next week’s episode of “The Originals.”

“I’ve traveled back from hell for this moment,” Mikael tells Klaus in the episode 4 trailer.

“Well, then I’d hate to keep you waiting,” the hybrid slyly responds.

Before fists begin to fly, the promo ends, leaving the outcome of the battle to your imagination.

According to the summary for episode 4, it’s Cami (Leah Pipes) who “inadvertently let Klaus in on Davina’s whereabouts.” After spilling the beans, she’ll accompany Klaus on his journey for vengeance in next week’s episode. On their quest to kill Mikael, Cami will attempt to pull the truth out of Klaus of where his “deeply rooted hatred” for his parents stems from. But will Klaus reveal his innermost secrets to Cami as he did with Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) in episode 3?

During “Every Mother’s Son,” Klaus confided in Hayley that his birth father was the werewolf who led a pack that killed his younger brother. Out of fury, Mikael killed Klaus’ dad and the wolves, starting a feud between the two supernatural creatures.

“No wonder she’s crazy,” Hayley empathetically said. “I’m out of my mind giving away Hope. I can’t imagine if she’d actually died.”

Klaus continued to explain that he doesn’t think his mother hates her children, but that she hates herself for what they have become. However, his previous statement flew out the window when Klaus discovered Esther had given him a charmed necklace (which he nearly died over) that weakened his powers. No wonder Klaus is hell-bent on seeing his parents dead!
