It has been a month since the “Outlander” Season 4 finale episode aired, and the fans are facing Droughtlander once again. As always, cast members Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe are making the wait for the next season a little easier by offering fans some online entertainment.

The two “Outlander” actors attended the Vanity Fair Oscars party recently, and they shared pictures from the event on their respective Instagram accounts. The two actors then started ridiculing each other’s outfits on the social media platform.

Heughan shared a snap of himself from the Oscars party on Instagram. The photo showed that his bowtie wasn’t very neat. The actor jokingly admitted that he put on the bowtie himself, while acknowledging Monty Jackson for his styling and Melissa Adelaide for grooming.

Balfe was quick to jump on the chance to tease her co-star about the bowtie. Commenting on the post, she jokingly asked if Heughan knew anyone who knows how to tie a bowtie because she is in need of one.

The fans, however, still think that Heughan is handsome, and many of them have commented on his post saying that they accept him for all his “imperfections.” Others wondered why his “Outlander” wife didn’t help him fix his bowtie.

Heughan then decided to pay Balfe back with her own coin. Commenting on her Instagram post that showed her Oscars afterparty outfit, the “Spy Who Dumped Me” actor pointed out that his “Outlander” co-star has a “hole” in her dress.

Both Heughan and Balfe engage in some good humored online banter from time to time. The fans know that the two actors are only playfully teasing each other.

The teasing should come as a bit of a relief for the fans who were disappointed with the amount of sex scenes between Heughan and Balfe’s characters in “Outlander” Season 4.

Speaking at the Television Critics Association winter press tour, executive producer Maril Davis justified the move by explaining that they were introducing many new characters this year and the story just didn’t allow any place for Jamie and Claire to have sex. She pointed out that the sex scenes should feel organic in the story, TV Guide reported.
