Over 1 Million Mac OS X LION Downloads in Single Day

Lion is off to a great start, says Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing.

Over one million users purchased and downloaded Mac OS X in a single day, announced Apple.

At just under 30 dollars, Apple's latest operation system is breaking records, selling faster than other OS release in the company's history, due to the convenience of downloading directly onto the computer.

Apple will also provide an option for buyers whose internet connection isn't powerful enough by putting Mac OS X Lion on a USB drive, at a higher price for $69 in August, and the option to download Lion at an Apple store.
