Australian light middleweight boxer and Manny Pacquiao’s sparring partner Tim Tszyu confirms that the Filipino legend’s power is still there while Pacman’s strength and conditioning coach believes that his opponent Keith Thurman will be "technical."

In the past few weeks, a lot of trash-talking from Keith Thurman hit the news as the much awaited fight between him and boxing icon Manny Pacquiao approaches. Pacquiao had also sent Thurman some powerful statement as well but a just a few days ago, a more serious vibe about the fight seems to hit the boxing atmosphere.

Pacquiao’s sparring partner, who is also a professional boxer, Tim Tszyu shared his actual experiences inside the ring with the legend. In an interview with The Manila Times, Tszyu was very quick to confirm that Pacquiao’s power is still in the Filipino legend’s hands, according to Boxing Scene.

“It’s snappy, it’s like a sting. Imagine like a sting that you feel it in few seconds. It’s a different power than what I have been hit before,” Tszyu described.

Tszyu also provided technical reasons why he believes Pacman will beat Thurman. The Aussie boxer was very specific with this thoughts and predicted that Manny will hurt the much younger boxer in different ways.

“I think he will hurt Thurman, he comes forward real quickly. And when he got these angles, then he will catch Thurman. If he sees Thurman hurt, Pacquiao will go for the kill to get that TKO,” Tszyu explained.

“I think Pacquiao will beat Thurman convincingly. If Pacquiao wants it as bad as how he wants it in his early days, I think you’ll see the best of Pacquiao,” said Tszyu.

Although Pacquiao is a veteran himself, his strength and conditioning coach Justin Fortune has a unique insight regarding how the fight with Thurman will go and he strongly believes that Pacman will need Freddie Roach’s intelligence during the fight, The Manila Times reported.

“This is a pre-technical fight so we need Freddie there because his knowledge is what we need. This guy (Thurman) is not going to come forward. It is more of a technical fight absolutely — he won’t go toe-to-toe with Manny. He will run,” Fortune told The Manila Times on Monday.

Fortune also detailed some points from Pacquiao’s previous fight with Adrien Broner in which Roach’s boxing intelligence played a very significant role in Manny’s victory.

“Once Broner was hit by Manny. He couldn’t do anything with Manny. So again, we have to find him and that’s why we need Freddie for the preparation and sparring. We need Freddie’s knowledge. We need that technical support of Freddie,” Fotune noted.

Pacquiao is set to face Thurman on July 20, 2019 at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada.
