New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady remains a limited participant ahead of the visit by the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. Brady was a limited participant last week as well, as he was dealing with a knee injury, but went on to play through it in New England's 27-13 win over the New York Jets despite missing practice Friday.

He was also dealing with an illness last week while it appeared he suffered a thumb injury in the first half against the Jets as well, though that wasn't listed in the injury report Wednesday.

The 41-year-old passed for 283 yards and finished the New York game with two touchdown passes. However, he admitted recently that while he was doing better this week, he was still nursing a couple of things.

“I am certainly doing better this week,” Brady said, as per NESN.com. “We had the game against Tennessee where I got a little nicked up and then had the bye week and was hoping to have a full week of practice and it just didn’t allow for it. I think a lot of NFL players are nursing things at this point."

“I am nursing a couple little things and I am feeling a lot better. A little flu is going around, but I am feeling better and hopefully I really turn a corner with my knee this week," he added.

Like last week, however, he should be in action against the Vikings this weekend.

Meanwhile, the Patriots have seen their injury problems reduce dramatically as only tight end Dwayne Allen (knee) did not participate in practice while safety Nate Ebner (knee) was the other limited participant. Wide receiver Julian Edelman was a full participant just like last week, after dealing with a foot injury.

Notably, not included in the report was tight end Rob Gronkowski (ankle/back), who was a limited participant last week. He would feature against the Jets for his first game since the end of October and revealed he felt good Wednesday.

“Good, I feel good," he said. "You know the football wear and tear and all that, you’re never going to leave a game going ‘ahaha.' If you play a full game and you’re playing hard then (you’ll be sore), but other than that I feel good.”

“Yeah you get used to it,” Gronkowski added when asked about getting banged up during a game. "You’ve been through it not a million times, but you’ve been through it so much you just know what to do. Just keep on believing in the process.”

The Patriots currently have an 8-3 record and have all but confirmed yet another AFC East title, with the Miami Dolphins in second place with a 5-6 record.
