KEY POINTS

  • Paula Abdul shared a photo dump from the Christmas party she attended hosted by Kathy Hilton on Instagram
  • Abdul's fans said they could not recognize her in the pictures because she looked like a 12-year-old girl
  • Some speculated she used filters to alter her look, while others said she was beautiful naturally

Paula Abdul looked like a teenager in the photo dump she shared on social media from a lavish Christmas party hosted by Kathy Hilton.

The "Live to Dance" judge shared several photos and footage from the Hiltons' extravagant soiree on Instagram. She looked stunning in the shots, but the singer-dancer raised eyebrows because she looked so young, like a teenager, Page Six reported.

"@kathyhilton always throws the most fabulous holiday party ✨🎉 Merry Christmas!🎄🎅🏼 I hope everyone is having a wonderful day relaxing, celebrating and surrounded by friends and family. Sending you lots of love and holiday cheer♥️ XoP," Abdul wrote in the caption.

Many left a comment on her post, saying they couldn't recognize Abdul anymore. The post received mixed responses, with some speculating that she photoshopped the snaps.

"Where is Paula?" one asked. Another added, "That is not Paula Abdul. Not even at all."

"Paula, we've all seen your face before, and this ain't it," a third user wrote with a laughing emoji.

"Wow. I don't understand this. Everyone knows what you actually look like. The amount of editing here is embarrassingly obvious," another commenter wrote.

Others pointed out the age difference. One said that she looked like a 12-year-old girl. One even wondered if she was using a baby face filter, while another joked if her post was an ad for a child filter. Some assured Abdul that she's naturally beautiful and doesn't need filters to look younger.

"Paula...you're 60. Aging is beautiful. You've edited yourself down to being 12 years old. It's alarming," another wrote.

"Is that a baby face filter? [She] looks different," a second user added.

"Making yourself look 50 instead of 60 is one thing, but making yourself look 12 is a whole different story. You don't need to do this," a third fan opined.

"Paula, you're beautiful. There's no need to edit your photos to the point that people don't recognize you," a fourth person added.

"Please calm down on the photoshopping. Your [sic] gorgeous without it. No need to set false expectations/reality," another said.

Kim Kardashian was also present at the same gathering. Just like Abdul, she got bashed for another reason — her outfit. Her friend Paris Hilton shared snaps from the event, including Kardashian and her mom, Kris Jenner.

In the snaps, the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" alum sported a black crop top and black leather pants. Paris wore a red lace Self-Portrait dress and matched it with crystal-encrusted Miu Miu heels. Her sister Nicky rocked a floral Oscar de la Renta mini and their mom Kathy looked festive in her red-and-green plaid maxi dress with a red bow. Jenner matched her daughter's ensemble by wearing a black blazer and trousers.

Several slammed Kardashian for not dressing up appropriately for the event. One said she dressed like she was in a rock concert, while another said she looked like a 15-year-old who got forced to join her parents at a party.
