  • Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande "adore" each other and support each other's brands, a report says
  • They reportedly make sure to say hi to each other when they're at the same event
  • Grande has "completely moved on" from Pete Davidson, who is now dating Kardashian

Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande have maintained a solid friendship over the years.

Though the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" alum is dating Grande's ex-fiancé Pete Davidson, this hasn't changed the way the two women feel about each other as they have been friends for years.

"Kim and Ariana are friends and have been for the past few years," an unnamed source told Us Weekly. "Whenever they're at the same event, they make sure to say hi to each other."

The insider added, "Just because Kim is now dating Ariana's ex Pete, it hasn't changed their friendship. They adore each other and support each other's brands."

On Friday, Kardashian took to Instagram Stories to show off a gift box of R.E.M Beauty products that she received from the collection's founder, Grande. The reality star tagged both the singer and her brand in her post, Page Six reported.

Kardashian and Grande previously posed together at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards. The following year, the 41-year-old Skims founder brought her daughter North West to Grande's "Dangerous Woman" concert at the Forum in Inglewood, California.

In 2018, Kardashian captioned an Instagram post with a line from Grande's song "Pete Davidson" which read, "Universe must have my back."

Grande also made an appearance on "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" in 2019 after Kris Jenner had a cameo in her "Thank U, Next" music video. The song famously includes the line, "and for Pete I'm so thankful."

Grande and Davidson started dating in May 2018 after she appeared on "Saturday Night Live" and were engaged in a month. Their whirlwind romance wasn't a shock to those close to the "7 Rings" singer because they knew that she had a huge crush on him.

"We never exchanged numbers or anything, we weren't even friends for the longest time, but I had the biggest crush in the whole world on him the whole time — like forever. Like, my friends used to make fun of me for it," Grande told Jimmy Fallon, according to Insider. "I'm not a crush-y person, I don't have, like, crushes on people I don't know. But I left [Davidson's writing room at 'SNL'] and I jokingly said to my tour manager, I was like, 'I'm marrying him. A hundred percent.'"

She dropped her song about the comedian in August that year. However, their short-lived engagement ended in October 2018 after just four months.

Grande has been married to real estate agent Dalton Gomez since May 2021. According to Us Weekly's source, the singer's wedded bliss is one of the reasons why she has "no ill will" for Davidson and Kardashian's romance.

"Ariana has completely moved on from Pete," the source said. "What they had was in the past. If anything, Ariana would be cheering on Pete and Kim's relationship since she ultimately wants Kim to find happiness too."

Meanwhile, Kardashian started dating Davidson in October 2021, months after she filed for divorce from ex-husband Kanye West. She connected with the comedian earlier that month after she made her "SNL" hosting debut.
