Rapper Chynna Rogers has died at her home in Philadelphia on Wednesday, officials confirmed.

The 25-year-old rapper, popularly known as Chynna, was also a model. She had started her career with Ford Models after signing with them when she was 14 years old.

Rogers' family released a statement through her management on Wednesday, confirming the model’s death. The exact cause of the rapper's death was not revealed.

“Chynna was deeply loved and will be sorely missed,” her family mentioned in the statement.

The upcoming star had also worked with late producer A$AP Yams, who died in 2015. Some of her best-known songs are “Selfie” and “Glen Coco”. Her first EP titled “I’m Not Here". "This Isn’t Happening” was released in 2015 and “music 2 die 2” was released in 2016. Earlier this year, in January, she had released an EP known as “If I Die First”.

During an interview with Pitchfork in 2018, the rapper had mentioned that her music was for “angry people with too much pride to show how angry they are.”

“I was able to just focus on getting my feelings out and treat music more like a journal,” she had told Pitchfork.

The model, who was also lovingly addressed as Chizzy, had previously struggled with drug addiction which took a turn for the worse after her mother died in 2017, a year after she had completed her rehab. The rapper was survived by her father and her three siblings.

Following the news of her demise, several celebrities paid tribute to the late model.

“Chynna you were f--kin hilarious bro… today was our last exchange of jokes & those i will miss the most. I can’t believe it idk how to. i love you. so very much. my heart is officially iced,” R&B singer Kehlani mentioned in a tweet.

“Anyone that ever was blessed enough to have met or been around chynna knew how pure of a soul she was. Loving, giving, humble, talented, an amazing human being. What a sad fucking day,” Rapper Lil Debbie wrote in a tweet.
