Porn star Kendra Lust is reminding her fans to love and appreciate themselves.

On Thursday, the 42-year-old adult film actress, whose real name is Michele Anne Mason, shared a cheeky picture on Instagram and gave her fans a valuable piece of advice.

“#focusonyourself You have your own life, why waste it focusing on others. Focus on loving yourself, instead of the idea of other people loving you,” Lust captioned the photo.

Followers of the adult performer would know that Lust has long been imparting pieces of advice on her social media, which are often accompanied by racy photos. A week before her latest upload, Lust shared side-by-side photos of her on the bed all glammed up and in her car sleeping.

In the post, the adult film star touched on “Instagram depression,” adding the hashtag #instagramvsreality. Lust told her followers not to let other people's posts and photos make them think that “their life is inadequate” just because they aren’t famous on Instagram.

“People fall for what they see on IG so much that they’ll believe their life isn’t worth S--- if you’re not posting about it. Don’t let the use of IG depress you or make u feel bad about you being you,” Lust wrote.

“[B]eing yourself is always the best version of you,” she added.

Earlier this month, Lust also looked back on how she used to feel that bagging awards would validate her. In an Instagram post, the porn star admitted that while winning the XBIZ award made her feel great, it also made her realize that this wasn't the last destination of her journey.

“But what I did realize the awards/trophy’s collect dust and show what u did it in the past .. can’t live on the past gotta always keep moving on & becoming better at what you do, get outta your comfort zone and do more,” Lust wrote.

“That’s success when u can get to the top and still find ways to stay there & be kind to others when on way up & at the top.. we all gotta come back down sometime,” she added.

In her lengthy note, the adult performer also revealed that she likes it when other girls look up to her, but she always tells them, “Don’t be me be you, be better than me.” Moreover, Lust said she feels happy whenever she sees other women having control of their careers in their male-dominated industry.
