Post Malone just cannot wait to be a father, and he's convinced that he is "going to be a hot dad," according to People.

The 26-year-old rapper opened up to Apple Music 1's Zane Lowe about how excited he is to embrace fatherhood. Malone is gearing up to welcome his first baby with his girlfriend, whom he hasn't identified publicly.

"I'm pumped beyond belief," the "Sunflower" artist told Lowe of becoming a dad, the outlet reported.

Apparently, becoming a father is something Malone — whose real name is Austin Post — has always had a yearning for, even when he was a young kid.

"As a kid, I was like 4 or 5, and I had this little baby I would carry around everywhere. It was a baby doll. And I thought that was the coolest thing. I would take him around everywhere. And I don't know how long that lasted. But my mom still has it," he added.

"I'm so pumped up. I'm going to be a hot dad," he told Lowe.

"Right. There's another term for that. A little acronym for that. I'm sure people..." Lowe replied.

"DILF," the 26-year-old rapper said, before sharing that his parents are equally excited. He even told Lowe that they can't wait to become grandparents.

"They were super excited. I'm excited. Apparently, all I'm being told is help is good, as well," he shared.

This is not the first time Malone has spoken about how much he looks forward to welcoming his child. The rapper told People in an interview last month that he's the "happiest [he's] ever been."

"I'm excited for this next chapter in my life, I'm the happiest I've ever been, and for since I could remember I was sad. Time to take care of my body and my family and friends, and spread as much love as we can every day," he said at the time.

Not much is known about the rapper's girlfriend, but according to TMZ, she's "not someone who has spent any time in the spotlight." The outlet also revealed that "the two have been happy privately building their relationship — which will soon turn into a family."

Malone is also preparing for the debut of his album "Twelve Carat Toothache," which is coming out Friday.
