Apple’s Powerbeats Pro arrived to consumers on May 31, 2019. Consumers warmly received the redesigned wire-free version of the popular fitness-centered Powerbeats earbuds. A new leak reveals that the Powerbeats 4 could have the ‘Hey Siri’ feature of the Apple AirPods and AirPods Pro.

Powerbeats 4 With Hey Siri Feature

Just recently, Apple rolled the iOS 13.3.1, which released a wide range of fixes for bugs and introduced a new setting to control location services. Within the latest iOS build, Macrumors spotted several icons, which could be hinting about the design of the upcoming Powerbeats 4. Additionally, the team discovered that the wire-free earbuds would feature Hey Siri support.

Apple introduced the Hey Siri feature on AirPods last year. With this feature, Powerbeats 4 users could instruct the Apple voice assistant to place phone calls, request music, and do a lot of things. It is a very nifty feature since it does not require users to look or touch their smartphones when doing simple tasks.

Talks about this feature coming to the next generation Powerbeats are not entirely new. In December last year, 9to5Mac reported that they have discovered within the code of iOS 13.3 that Powerbeats 4 would support Hey Siri functionality for hands-free use.

Apple’s H1 Chip on Powerbeats 4

The series of Hey Siri support leaks on Powerbeats 4 implies that it could have the Apple H1 chip. This is great news for Powerbeats fans since the H1 chip could introduce a lot of features to the upcoming wire-free earbuds. With the Apple H1 chip on Powerbeats 4, it could read out and playback messages to users without the need for them to unlock their iPhones.

Additionally, users could reply to messages through Siri by dictation. More importantly, beyond the Hey Siri functionality, Apple H1 chip offers improved battery life and faster connectivity. However, the latest icons found on the iOS 13.3.1 build is not in any way a confirmation that the Powerbeats 4 is arriving soon.

Apple or Beats has not yet confirmed the existence of Powerbeats 4. In this case, we suggest taking this information with a good measure of salt. We will surely keep you posted with the latest update about the Powerbeats 4 if we heard anything interesting.

Low-Cost 2021 iPhone

In other Apple news, a new report about next year’s iPhone reveals that the Cupertino company might introduce another affordable model. Macrumors obtained the recent research note of TF Securities Analyst and credible Apple tipster Ming-Chi Kuo, which contains this information. According to the analyst, the low-cost 2021 iPhone would feature a Touch ID power button located on the side of the device and an LCD display. Kuo also mentions in his research note that low-cost 2021 iPhone might arrive in the first half of next year.
