The companies whose shares are moving in pre-market trade Thursday are: Aegon N.V., Banco Santander, Alpha Natural Resources, Cisco Systems, CGG Veritas, Arena Pharmaceuticals Inc and Unilever plc.

Aegon N.V. (AEG) stock climbed 5.13 percent to $4.51 in pre-market trade. The company reported a rise in profit by 59 percent in first-quarter compared to a year ago. The net income attributable to equity holders for the first quarter rose to 521 million euros from last year's 327 million euros.

Banco Santander (STD) shares rose 3 percent to 6.19 in pre-market trading. The bank, with a market capitalization $57.82 billion, had already seen a lowering of the long and short term counterparty credit ratings by S&P. The renewed concerns over the European debt crisis following the Greek elections are also affecting the investor sentiments.

Alpha Natural Resources, Inc (ANR) stock gained 1.22 percent to $14.10 in pre-market session. The company had a first quarter net loss of $29.12 million compared to $49.85 million in earlier year.

Cisco Systems, Inc (CSCO) stock declined 8.68 percent to $17.15 in pre-market session. The world's largest computer networking gear maker has forecast adjusted earnings of $0.44 to $0.46 per share for the fourth quarter, which is less than the expected earnings of $0.49 per share as polled by Thompson Reuters. The company reported a $2.2 billion net income for the third quarter compared to $1.8 billion a year ago.

CGG Veritas (CGV) stock slumped 3.59 percent to 24.43 in pre-market trading. The company reported that the first quarter net loss declined to $3.5 million from $36.9 million in the previous year. The operating revenues rose to $786.6 million from $728.6 million a year ago.

Arena Pharmaceuticals Inc. (ARNA) stock fell 1.64 percent to $3.60 in pre-market trading. The FDA has asked for an evaluation of the company's experimental weight loss pill, lorcaserin, for potential risks of mammary tumors.

Unilever plc (UL) stock declined 1.22 percent to $33.25 in pre-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $29.73, a 52-week high of $34.77 and $94.93 billion in market capitalization.
