Meghan Markle is pleased that her husband, Prince Harry, didn't stay longer in the U.K. and is now back home in California, a report says.

The Duke of Sussex spent a week in his home country for the funeral of his grandfather Prince Philip, who passed away on April 9 and whose service took place last Saturday at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle. Prince Harry returned to the U.S. on Tuesday, People reported.

But though Prince Harry and his heavily pregnant wife communicated daily while he was in England, the duchess is glad that he's back home with her and their son, Archie, Us Weekly reported.

"Even though Harry and Meghan were in constant contact during the trip, Meghan is over the moon to have Harry back home," an unnamed source told the outlet.

The source also said the 1-year-old had the sweetest reaction when he saw his dad.

"Archie got super excited when he saw his daddy again!" the insider added. "He couldn’t stop smiling."

Markle was not able to join Prince Harry on his trip to the U.K. as she was advised not to travel during this time by her doctors. She watched the funeral from their home in Montecito, per People.

"Meghan will be staying in California. She can’t go on doctor’s orders," an unnamed insider previously told Us Weekly. "She is too far along to fly and it’s recommended she rest in the final months."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were reportedly "taking this precaution seriously" following the miscarriage Markle suffered last summer, the source added.

Meanwhile, Markle and Archie were spotted out and about a day after Prince Harry returned to California. In photos published by Page Six, the duchess' huge baby bump was on display in her black shirt, army green utility jacket and blue jeans. She carried Archie, who looked adorable in his black beanie, a gray sweatshirt, rolled jeans and white Velcro sneakers.

Markle is expected to give birth to their second child, a baby girl, in early summer.
