ABC Family has an early trick-or-treat surprise for “Pretty Little Liars” fans. While the annual Halloween episode is being scrapped for a Christmas episode around the holidays, viewers can still watch a one-hour special during the network’s big October event, “13 Nights of Halloween.”

Being dubbed as a “fan appreciation” episode, the special will air halfway through Season 5 of "Pretty Little Liars" while the show is on a break after its summer finale. The press release explains that the special won’t be a normal action-packed episode of “Pretty Little Liars,” but instead an hour dedicated to thanking fans for “making it one of television’s most-watched and most-social series.”

The special will feature the cast and crew of “Pretty Little Liars,” who will discuss some of the most unforgettable moments on the show. But it wouldn’t be a fan appreciation episode without input from viewers. ABC Family is giving “PLL” lovers a chance to interact with the Rosewood gang by submitting questions to the cast and crew through Facebook or Twitter. Fans can submit their questions on Facebook by clicking HERE, or through Twitter by tweeting questions with the hashtag #PLLHalloween.

No official date for the Season 5 fan appreciation episode has been released yet. “Pretty Little Liars” viewers can keep an eye out for the “13 Days of Halloween” schedule, which is usually released by ABC Family in mid-September.
