Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles’ divorce rumors sparked outrage from the netizens.

New Idea published a report claiming that the Duchess of Cornwall has been missing for weeks because of her troubled marriage with the Prince of Wales. An alleged insider told the tabloid that Prince Charles and Camilla’s marriage is over.

A royal source claimed that while the world has been obsessed with Kate Middleton and Markle’s rift, there’s a bigger drama in the palace involving Prince Charles and Camilla’s marital issues.

The insider added that Prince Charles and Camilla are set to announce their divorce soon. The two have allegedly signed the papers and barely see each other in the past months aside from Prince Charles’s 70th birthday. The Queen reportedly convinced Camilla to attend the event to avoid speculations.

However, netizens aren’t convinced that there’s any truth in the royals’ divorce rumors. Many called it “fake news” and “ridiculous” on Twitter.

“Utter rubbish it's not helpful! #FakeNews,” one user wrote.

“These people are nuts, omg they don’t like couples who are in love apparently,” MegImpact commented.

Other netizens just laughed it off. Some even questioned the tabloid’s reputation.

Meanwhile, others are having second thoughts that it might be legit because of the so-called royal source. As of late, Clarence House has not confirmed anything.

The speculations could be due to Camilla missing a number of royal events lately. The Duchess of Cornwall didn’t attend the Queen’s Christmas lunch. However, she didn’t intentionally skip the event. Camilla reportedly didn’t make it because she had a “heavy cold.” The duchess also canceled her appearance at the Olympia Horse Show that evening.

Camilla was also absent during the royal’s annual Christmas Day service in Sandringham. Prince Charles arrived solo and was accompanied by Prince William, Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. In the photos shared by the palace, they didn’t address Camilla’s absence.

However, according to Daily Mail royal correspondent Rebecca English, the Duchess of Cornwall was still “under the weather.” Camilla has not recovered from the “heavy colds” yet that caused her to miss the other royal events earlier.
