Prince George had his first grouse hunting.

Prince William and Kate Middleton took their oldest son, 5-year-old Prince George in the hills to watch the Duke of Cambridge shoot down the birds in the hills on Friday during their visit in Balmoral Castle in Scotland. After the said outing, the family joined Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Zara and Mike Tindall, Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, James Viscount Severn and Lady Louise Windsor for lunch, People reported.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were expected to join the Queen in Scotland for the summer break. Usually, they visit Balmoral in September, but Prince George is due to return to school early next month, so the Cambridges made their trip a little earlier.

Prince George's long-year curriculum includes math, English, science, history, geography, and religious studies. He also has special subjects like French, computing, art/design, technology, music, ballet, P.E, and drama.

The third-in-line to the throne will partake in a 40-minute drama lesson each week. He will also perform in a festival later in the year.

Meghan Markle might be of help to the little prince. Aside from being an actress, the Duchess of Sussex graduated from Northwestern with a double major in theater and international studies.

Prince George will be busier this year. In fact, he will have more assignments. According to reports, he needs to complete a 10-minute reading every night. The school will also send him a spelling rule or pattern weekly.

Prince William and Middleton will escort Prince George on his first day of school at Thomas's Battersea in London. Last year, the Duchess of Cambridge wasn't able to join the little tot because she was in strict bed rest due to severe morning sickness. Middleton was reportedly upset that she didn't make it.

"Kate watched the news from home," an insider said. "She was desperately sad that she couldn't make it but she is on firm bed rest now until she feels better."

Fortunately, her husband, Prince William, was there. In fact, the father and son posted for Prince George's first day of school portrait. In fact, he was smiling in the photo and he looked smart and adorable in his uniform.
