Prince George and Princess Charlotte were a no-show at the Christmas church service at St. Mary Magdalene on Tuesday morning.

According to Elle, the royal siblings are not expected to make an appearance at the Christmas church service until they are a little bit older. Prince Harry was first photographed attending the service with his parents and relatives on Christmas Day when he was just 5 years old, and Prince William attended the gathering when he was 7 years old.

However, it is important to note that there is no set rule with regards to the age of the royals who wish to attend the service. But it is based on the parents’ discretion as to when they think their children will be ready for it. Prince Louis wasn’t at the service either because he is just 8 months old.

But all three of Prince William and Middleton’s children made it to Queen Elizabeth II’s Christmas lunch last week in Sandringham. Prince George and Princess Charlotte were photographed sitting behind their parents in the car. Initial reports claimed that Prince Louis wasn’t there, but a car seat was found inside the couple’s private vehicle.

In related news, Prince George and Princess Charlotte were allowed to finally open their Christmas presents on Christmas Eve. As early as November, the siblings have been excited about this year’s festivity. During her trip to Leicester, Middleton revealed how eager her two older children were for Christmas Day to come.

“They’re getting excited for Christmas time because they’ve started all their Christmas songs and Christmas trees are going up. It was really sweet,” she said.

Meanwhile, senior royals attended the Christmas church service on the Sandringham estate on Tuesday morning. Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, Her Majesty, Prince William, Middleton, Prince Harry, Markle, Princess Eugenie, Jack Brooksbank, Princess Beatrice were all there.

Prince Philip didn’t attend the public service because he opted to stay at home. Camilla Parker Bowles skipped the outing as well because she is still recovering from her cold. Prince Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, wasn’t there because she wasn’t invited to attend.
