Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip were in despair because of Prince Harry’s misconduct.

The Duke of Sussex had a bad reputation when he was younger. In 2001, it was discovered that Prince Harry had been smoking marijuana and drinking even if he was still underage. It came to a point where he was barred from the pub after shouting obscenities at the bar manager.

According to Katie Nicholl in her 2010 book “William and Harry,” the monarch and Duke of Edinburgh were saddened by Prince Harry’s behavior. The couple became despondent when they found out that Prince Harry escaped an official police warning. The news sent shockwaves through the royal family.

“According to one aide, the Queen and Prince Philip were ‘in despair’ when they were informed,” Nicholl wrote.

“The Palace tried its hardest to bury the story but inevitably Charles’ parenting was called into question.”

In return, Prince Charles questioned Prince Harry’s circle of friends. He wasn’t about the people surrounding his son.

The Prince of Wales reportedly went mental when he learned that Prince Harry smoked weed. In response to it, Prince Charles demanded that Prince Harry should go to a rehab clinic and talk to the other people who also suffered from drug addiction.

According to royal biographer Penny Junor, Prince Harry was a reluctant royal. There was reportedly a time when he wanted to give up his rights and privileges as a royal. Prince William’s brother wanted to live as a commoner.

However, Queen Elizabeth II convinced him to continue with his royal life and duties. The monarch forgave Prince Harry’s wrongdoings and encouraged him to move forward.

At present, Prince Harry is a changed man. Meghan Markle is considered a beautiful influence on her second husband.

The former “Suits” actress encouraged Prince Harry to live a more active and healthier lifestyle. Prince Harry recently admitted that he has been practicing meditation, and royal experts believe that this is due to his wife.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be parents soon. Prince Harry and Markle are expected to welcome their firstborn this spring.
