Prince Charles Shocked, ‘Went Mental’ After Learning Prince Harry Did This

Prince Charles was shocked after learning that Prince Harry smoked weed.

Princess Diana tried to give her sons Prince William and Prince Harry a normal childhood. However, being part of a royal family will never give one a normal life. The Duke of Sussex was said to have "rebelled" and part of it was trying marijuana. The 2013 Netflix documentary "The Royals" revealed how Prince Charles reacted to his son’s rebellious ways.

"When Prince Charles heard the news he went mental, he demanded that Prince Harry went to a rehab clinic to talk to other people who had drug addiction just to make sure he never progressed beyond cannabis," Zoe Griffin, editor and founder of LiveLikeAVip.com said.

Bill Puddicombe, former Head of Leatherstone Lodge Centre also shared how the palace dealt with Prince Harry’s act of smoking weed. According to him, he received a call from the Prince of Wales’ office.

“He asked if we could arrange a private visit for Prince Harry to come and see Featherstone Lodge,” Puddicombe recalled. “There was no press involvement. In fact, it was requested that there was no press involvement.”

“We weren’t told why but we knew at this time there was talk about the young Princes becoming involved with their mother and father’s charitable works, that seemed likely to be the reason.”

“His father thought he would benefit from a short, sharp, shock at a rehabilitation centre,” Clive Goodman told BBC News. “There is tremendous sympathy for Charles. He has done a fantastic job putting his son back on the straight-and-narrow, as has his brother Prince William.”

St. James’s Palace didn’t deny the reports that Prince Harry had “experimented with the drug on several occasions.” However, they insisted that the prince’s cannabis use could not be described as “regular.”

“This is a serious matter which was resolved within the family, and is now in the past and closed,” the palace spokesman said.

Prince Harry also made headlines in 2012 after his nude photos during a game of strip billiards leaked. In addition, the Duke of Sussex earned himself a playboy reputation, but he is already a changed man.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expecting their first baby in the Spring of 2019.
