Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s bombshell exit last month could’ve been stopped by Zara Tindall.

According to Express, Tindall, who is very close to Queen Elizabeth, could’ve done what she did to help her brother, Peter Phillips, and sister-in-law, Autumn Phillips out.

Royal expert Dan Wooton told The Sun that Tindall first stepped in to mediate the couple when she heard that they were struggling in their marriage in October of last year.

“Zara and Anne were told at the end of October that they were having trouble. Autumn was very upset about it. It kind of came out of the blue. Then all of a sudden Autumn was beside herself and Zara took the lead in consoling her,” Wooton said.

Sources also revealed that Tindall helped convince Autumn not to go back to her hometown in Canada. As such, she could’ve been useful in stopping Prince Harry and Markle from quitting the royal family.

“Zara prevented Autumn from moving back to Canada to be closer to her family. If she had been involved in that Sandringham summit about Harry and Meghan, perhaps the outcome would have been different too. The feeling is that the Queen would be wise to make use of Zara as Harry adores her,” the source told Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, Zara and Peter grew up to be very close. During his interview with The Times in 2018, Princess Anne’s eldest child admitted that just like other younger sisters, Zara was annoying.

Zara reportedly tried to boss her older brother around, and the mom of two was usually at the center of happenings that were both fun and boisterous.

Mike Tindall’s wife also spoke with the publication to reveal that she and Peter struggled following their parents’ divorce. But just like any other older sibling, Peter was very protective of his sister, and all of his friends treated her the same way.
