Meghan Markle's friend, Priyanka Chopra, might be one of her bridesmaids when she ties the knot with Prince Harry.

On Friday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's official wedding date was announced, and the next royal wedding has been scheduled on May 19 at St. George's Chapel Windsor Castle. Following the reveal, many are interested as to who will be part of Markle's entourage for her big day.

There are rumors that Priyanka Chopra will be likely one of Markle's bridesmaids. The "Suits" star and the "Quantico" actress have been friends for a while now. In fact, they often share pictures of each other on social media, Daily Mail reported.

In one post shared by Prince Harry's fiancée, Markle and Chopra enjoyed spending time together poolside. "This gem. Thank you for the best day of girl talk," Markle wrote in the caption.

According to Sky News, Chopra and Markle have been calling each other "my girl" or "my babe" in their posts. Following the announcement of Markle's engagement to Prince Harry in November, Chopra extended her congratulations to her friend on Instagram.

"Congratulations to my girl @meghanmarkle and Prince Harry!! I’m so happy for you Meg! You deserve the best always..keep smiling that infectious smile," Chopra wrote.

Back in September, following Markle's interview with Vanity Fair, Chopra defended her friend against being labeled as Prince's Harry's girlfriend. The "Baywatch" star was not happy that Markle was reduced to her relationship status with the prince.

"I don't know if I will get into trouble for this, but I have an opinion. I mean, [Megan] is on the cover of Vanity Fair," Chopra said (via Marie Claire). "It would have been nice to write about her not just her boyfriend. I'm just saying. I mean, she's an actor, she's an activist, she's a philanthropist. I mean, she does so much more."

"It's just a little sexist. Look, I'm a feminist and I love boys. Okay...The only thing I'm saying is that there needs to be a certain sense of equality where a woman is not just a plus one, you know. It's nice to be your own identity too," she added.
