Prince William and Kate Middleton’s first public kiss happened during a special occasion many years ago.

In 2004, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s relationship was first confirmed publicly after their secret ski trip together. Prince William and Middleton were photographed in matching outfits during a trip to Klosters in Switzerland. They were also seen holding hands.

At the time, Kensington Palace did not deny that Prince William and Middleton were a couple. However, the two had not yet shared a kiss in public. In 2005, Middleton was invited by Prince William’s family to another ski trip, and they were seen looking cozy while having lunch together.

But during another ski holiday in 2006, Prince William and Middleton were first seen kissing in public. While in Klosters, Prince William was seen putting his arm around Middleton’s shoulder and kissing her on her cheek. But to everyone’s surprise, the couple decided to go their separate ways one year later.

In 2007, Prince William was asked how he and Middleton have been doing during a public engagement with Prince Harry. A reporter asked Prince William if his friends, Middleton, and Prince Harry’s then-girlfriend Chelsy Davy were attending the concert.

Prince William avoided mentioning Middleton in his response, but he said that he has a lot of friends that will be joining the celebration.

“I’ve got lots of friends coming, everyone’s going to be there on the night and it’s going to be a great night basically,” Prince William said.

Prince Harry couldn’t help but make fun of his older brother’s response. He declared that Prince William managed to avoid the question.

Prince William and Middleton got back together months later. They got engaged in 2010 and tied the knot at Westminster Abbey in 2011. During their engagement interview, Prince William revealed that they took a break because they wanted to do other things at that time. Middleton added that their decision to split actually did wonders for their relationship.

Prince William and Middleton have been blessed with three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
