Prince William reportedly released a “hot” photo of himself to fans for a sweet reason.

The Duke of Cambridge, who turned 36 on June 21, received tons of birthday cards from fans. He thanked them by releasing a thank you card that featured a hunky photo of the dad of three.

Instagram user @loopycrown3 uploaded a photo of Prince William’s thank you card which featured a photo from his 2017 photoshoot with GQ magazine. British photographer Norman Jean Roy took the closeup shot of Prince William wearing a suit and white polo shirt.

Prince William is looking straight into the camera, but he also has a smirk around his mouth.

“The Duke of Cambridge was touched that you took the trouble to write as you did on the occasion of his 36th birthday. It was really thoughtful of you and His Royal Highness sends you his warmest thanks and best wishes,” the letter read.

Prince William’s thank you card is enclosed in a Kensington Palace envelope. According to Harper’s Bazaar, this was the same envelope where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding thank you cards were placed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also thanked the thousands of fans that congratulated them on their special day on May 19. Their thank you card included a photo of the couple from their royal wedding.

In related news, Princess Eugenie is the latest member of the royal family to send out thank you cards to fans. She made headlines for handwriting her note and for signing her and Jack Brooksbank’s name at the bottom of the card. Princess Eugenie’s thank you cards were written on a piece of paper that featured her and Brooksbank’s joint monogram.

Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank tied the knot on Oct. 12 at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. Other royals that sent out thank you cards this year include Kate Middleton for Prince Louis’ baptism and Prince George’s 5th birthday in July, Markle for her 37th birthday in August, and Prince Harry for his 34th birthday in September.
