Prince William shocked passengers during his trip to Glasgow in 2015.

According to Kara Godfrey, a journalist for Express, royal fans thought that Prince William will travel first class to Glasgow because he was on an official visit to the city in Scotland. However, the dad of three opted to fly economy via Ryanair.

One of the passengers revealed that their flight was delayed for about 20 minutes and didn’t know what the problem was. They, later on, realized after they landed that it was because Prince William was on board the plane.

“I never expected to see him on Ryanair, but it’s refreshing to see a member of the royal family take a cheap flight,” the passenger said.

Godfrey revealed that Prince William also flew with only one bodyguard at that time. He was also the first person to get off the plane. A photo of the Duke of Cambridge getting off Ryanair was also captured by one of the passengers, and it went viral online.

And just like him, Prince Harry has also taken economy flights. Most recently, he went to the French Riviera in the New Year. The couple was spotted taking a British Airways flight and sitting at the end row of the plane close to the toilets.

Prince Harry and Markle also had three rows of chair blocked, and they disguised themselves by wearing a beanie and sunglasses. When it was time to get off the plane, they were also the first two people to leave. They also boarded the plane first before the other passengers.

Godfrey told Express last week that Prince Harry followed his mom Princess Diana’s footsteps by traveling to the French Riviera. In 1997, just before she passed away, the Princess of Wales went to the beautiful island with her boyfriend Dodi Al Fayed. The latter owned a villa in St. Tropez.
