Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are engaged. The announcement was made by Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson on Thursday.

A statement was also released by the Buckingham Palace confirming the couple’s engagement.

“The Duke and Duchess of York are delighted to announce the engagement of Her Royal Highness Beatrice of York to Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. Her Royal Highness and Mr. Mapelli Mozzi became engaged while away for the weekend in Italy earlier this month. The wedding will take place in 2020,” the statement read.

Princess Beatrice and Mapelli Mozzi also shared four engagement photos to the entire world. The Duke and Duchess of York revealed that it was Princess Eugenie who took the colored photos of the newly-engaged couple. The royal couple’s black and white snaps were taken by Misan Harriman at the Royal Lodge in Windsor.

Princess Eugenie showing her love and support for her older sister debunked the rumors that the two of them are feuding. A source recently told New Idea that Princess Beatrice is furious with her sister for always taking her spot.

In recent weeks, reports swirled that Princess Beatrice is forced to postpone her engagement announcement while waiting for Princess Beatrice’s pregnancy announcement. A royal expert said that a pregnancy announcement is regarded as something more important compared to an engagement announcement.

“This is supposed to be Bea’s big day – the fairy tale wedding she’s been dreaming of since she was a little girl – and now it’s been pushed aside because of Eugenie’s baby. It’s just not fair. And while Bea usually bites her tongue and plays along, she’s not doing that this time. She’s told Eugenie just how unhappy she is and is not taking this lying down. It’s caused quite the stir in the palace,” the source said.

But by the looks of it, there is no truth to this claim. Not only did Princess Beatrice make an announcement first; Princess Eugenie didn’t also have to postpone her pregnancy announcement because she’s not yet expecting.
