The much talked about marriage of Indian actress Priyanka Chopra with singer Nick Jonas concluded Sunday with both a traditional Hindu and a grand Christian ceremony taking place. It was a five-day wedding that started Wednesday and concluded over the weekwend. The couple also threw a grand reception party on Tuesday in New Delhi.

The highlights of this much-hyped wedding was Chopra's Indian traditional lehenga, designed by the Indian designer Sabyasachi, and her hand-beaded and embroidered Ralph Lauren gown with a striking 75-foot long veil. There was also a sangeeth ceremony (elaborate musical function), other Hindu rituals and a guest list of about 225 people.

“Every girl dreams of being a princess on her wedding day, but I never had a plan about what I wanted it to be. It melted my heart. Being able to have two big weddings, in India, with our closest family and friends was unbelievably special," Chopra told People.

"The emotions were running high during the ceremonies, I think especially during the Western wedding for me. You know you think your whole life about that moment. Honestly, I could not have imagined it would be as perfect as it was. It was highly emotional," Jonas told the magazine.

Amidst all the cultural rituals that were highlighted, the veil that Chopra wore for the Christian ceremony stole the show. The Ralph Lauren-designed dress had more than two million mother-of-pearl sequins sewed into it, and the veil was much longer than her good friend Meghan Markle's 16.4 foot-long veil at the royal wedding in May. Chopra was escorted down the aisle by her mother Madhu (her father Ashok died of cancer in 2013).

Chopra's veil needed assistance from five people as she was led to the altar. Jonas, meanwhile, wore a custom Ralph Lauren double-breasted tuxedo with a customized message from Chopra: "My Jaan" which means "My Life."

"Ralph Lauren is honored to announce that Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas were married wearing custom Ralph Lauren... The embroidery included eight significant words and phrases selected by the bride, including family, hope, and compassion. The bridesmaids, groomsmen, parents, flower girls, and the ring bearer were all dressed in Ralph Lauren for the wedding at the Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India on Dec. 1," Ralph Lauren posted on Instagram.

The veil caught a lot of attention on the internet. Some people compared it to the Duchess of Sussex's wedding veil and a few others made some funny comparisons.

"I love that our wedding was a religious mash-up. We took beautiful traditions that we both grew up with and personalized them in a way that made sense for us. It’s been incredible to find the commonalities between our beliefs and figuring out how to blend them in a respectful and meaningful way," Chopra told People.

The 225 guests included Jonas’ brothers Kevin (with wife Danielle) andJoe (with fiancée, actress Sophie Turner), former "Glee" star Chord Overstreet, and Ack Mcbrayer from "30 Rock". The "Quantico" actor, 36, and the "Chains" singer, 26, got engaged Aug. 18, two months after it was reported they started dating.
