Members of the royal family sometimes stick their tongue out in public, including Queen Elizabeth II, Kate Middleton, Prince William and more.

Meghan Markle has been photographed with her tongue out. The Duchess of Sussex has been showing this habit in various events. Some questioned her manners for doing so in public. Markle’s mom was also photographed doing the same, which prompted some to believe that Markle got the habit from her mother.

Prince Harry has been doing the same too since he was a kid. The Duke of Sussex was photographed sticking his tongue out to the amusement of her mom, Princess Diana. He was caught doing it again several years later.

Tongue wagging is not exclusive to Prince Harry and Markle. Hello! compiled several shots of the other members of the royal family doing exactly the same gesture.

Queen Elizabeth II

The Queen couldn’t resist her silly side sometimes and in one photo she was captured sticking her tongue out. In the snap, Her Majesty can be seen wearing her glasses too.

Prince Philip

In 2012, the Duke of Edinburgh was being cheeky. He made the crowd laugh by sticking his tongue out.

Prince Charles

In 2007, Prince Charles took a tour of the newly refurbished Fortnum and Mason. The Prince of Wales looked dashing in his suits but appeared to be hungry and looking for snacks as she stuck his tongue out.

Prince William

The Duke of Cambridge is a big kid at heart. Prince William showed this in a mischievous look when he stuck his tongue out in one of the events he attended.

Kate Middleton

The Duchess of Cambridge is always poise but she can also be playful. In 2013, Middleton attended Glasgow and gave the crowd a giggle when she playfully poke her tongue out.

Prince George

Prince George is also fond of this habit. When he was just a tot, he made his infamous tongue-wagging during Trooping the Colour in 2015. Royal nanny Maria Borrallo was supporting Prince George by the window as he watched his mom Middleton and dad Prince William in the parade below.

Prince George was also photographed sticking his tongue out during a family tour in Canada. The little prince still looked adorable in his blue jumper and dark shorts.

Princess Charlotte

Middleton’s daughter proved that she’s just like any other 3-year-old kid during Prince Harry and Markle’s royal wedding. Princess Charlotte was photographed when she playfully stuck her tongue out as she waved to the photographers inside a vehicle.
