  • Prince William and Kate Middleton shared snaps of the Queen through the years and some personal pictures of Her Majesty on Instagram
  • The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge praised Queen Elizabeth for her extraordinary reign and dedicating her life to service
  • Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles also gave the Queen a shoutout to celebrate her Platinum Jubilee and International Women's Day

Queen Elizabeth II received praises from the senior royals for her service to the monarchy on International Women's Day.

The Queen is the longest-reigning British monarch. She celebrated her 70th-anniversary last month. The Prince of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge gave her a shoutout on social media Tuesday, as the world celebrated the global holiday commemorating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.

Prince William and Middleton shared a series of photos of Her Majesty throughout the years on Instagram. Some snaps were taken from her previous royal engagements, while other pictures were personal. One featured the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with the Queen; another featured Queen Elizabeth II and the Prince of Wales. There was also a shot of Camilla and the Queen smiling at each other. Meanwhile, the last photo was an adorable shot of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip surrounded by their great-grandchildren.

"In this very special #PlatinumJubilee year, we celebrate Her Majesty The Queen and her historic 70 years of service on #IWD2022," Prince William and Middleton wrote in the caption. "Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and Head of State, The Queen's extraordinary reign has been longer than any other monarch in British history — inspiring a nation and dedicating her life to the service of the Commonwealth and its people."

Prince Charles and Camilla did the same on Twitter. The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall shared three of the photos that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared, featuring a solo shot of the Queen and separate photos of Camilla and Prince Charles with her.

"The Queen's extraordinary reign has been longer than any other monarch in British history and dedicated to the service of the Commonwealth and its people," they wrote in the caption.

Last month, the Queen released a statement asking the people to extend the same support to Prince Charles and Camilla when it's their time to take over the throne. She also showed her approval of Camilla by announcing that she would be queen consort in the future.

Prince Charles was reportedly delighted with the Queen's announcement because he always wanted his wife to be a queen during his reign. Also, the Prince of Wales wanted the Queen to acknowledge Camilla's work for being his support while carrying out his royal duties.

"Charles is over the moon that his mother has given her seal of approval," an unnamed source told Us Weekly. "It's a dream come true."
