  • Queen Elizabeth is said to retire this year
  • Her Majesty is rumored to pass on her duties and responsibilities to Prince Charles
  • Queen Elizabeth will, reportedly, spend more time with Prince Philip amid the never-ending health scare hounding the Duke of Edinburgh

Rumors about Queen Elizabeth’s possible abdication have been making rounds on the cyberspace for quite some time now. Aside from her advanced age and weakening health, Her Majesty is, allegedly, planning to spend more time with her 98-year-old husband, Prince Philip. Though neither of royal family members has confirmed these speculations, some followers are convinced that this might happen sooner or later.

Recently, psychic Craig Hamilton-Parker made a fearless forecast about the fate of Queen Elizabeth and the British monarchy in 2020. The soothsayer claimed there is a huge possibility that Prince William and Prince Harry’s grandmother will retire this year. He added that Prince Charles, who is the heir apparent to the British throne, will be taking more of his mother’s duties and responsibilities.

“We’re going to notice Queen Elizabeth becoming more and more tired and see a lot more of Charles doing her engagements and speeches while she takes more of [the] backseat,” Craig said, via the Jan. 9 issue of You Magazine. “This is the gradual winding down of an era as Charles begins to head towards the throne,” he went on.

This is not the first time that Her Majesty was rumored to be stepping down from the throne to live a private life. In Dec. 2019, royal expert Richard Berthelsen told CTV News that Queen Elizabeth will be following to steps of her better half, who retired at the age of 95. The abdication rumors emerged amid the Duke of Edinburgh’s alleged health problems.

"She’s about two years away from that now, the Duke of Edinburgh is 98,” Richard claimed. "I think the Queen would, if she felt she couldn’t perform the duties to the full extent she would like to do, she would probably feel it would be appropriate for her to either make way for a regency or to out and out abdicate,” he continued.

However, Reader’s Digest, previously, reported that Queen Elizabeth is very unlikely to consider abdication in this lifetime. The publication even cited royal insider, who claimed that Her Majesty will never step down and give up the throne. Instead, she could, possibly, appoint a regent to perform her tasks as the British monarch.

Aside from that, the great grandmother of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, also, vowed to serve as the Queen as long as she lives. “I declare before you all that my whole life whether it be long or short shall be devoted to your service and the service of our great imperial family to which we all belong,” she said on her 21st birthday.

Queen Elizabeth and the other members of the royal clan have yet to respond to Craig Hamilton –Parker’s prediction.
