The Rangers have been in this situation before.

Just over two weeks ago, New York was knotted up at two games apiece in their first round playoff series with the Senators. The Blue Shirts lost Game 5 at Madison Square Garden, but ended up winning the series in seven games.

The Rangers will look to avoid a Game 7 this time around as they play the Capitals in Game 5. Washington visits New York for Game 5 on Monday night. The contest is set to face off at 7:30 p.m. ET on the NBC Sports Network. If you can't get to a television, you can watch a live stream of the game online here.

Each team has won a game on the road this series, and home-ice hasn't meant much in this year's playoffs. The Capitals pulled out a 3-2 win on Saturday to even up the series.

Both teams have played very evenly this series, and much of the credit goes to the two goaltenders. Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist has been superb this postseason, allowing 1.68 goals per game and stopping 94 percent of the shots that come his way. Washington goalie Braden Holtby has been almost as good. He is allowing 1.94 goals per game with a 93.3 save percentage.

The winner of this series will go on to play the winner of the Devils-Flyers series.
