‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ Producers Were ‘Uncomfortable’ Filming Kenya Moore, Marc Daly’s Marriage

Although “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kenya Moore is working on her marriage with Marc Daly, the events leading up to the couple’s initial split was “uncomfortable” to film according to the producers of the reality series.

In September 2019, Kenya shocked fans when she announced she planned to divorce Marc following two years of marriage. However, since she released the statement, the couple has been working on mending their relationship.

During an enhanced version of “RHOA” Season 12, episode 16, the producers revealed that Kenya didn’t try to cover up the flaws in her marriage with Marc, which were “definitely uncomfortable” to film.

“She was very open and honest about what was going on. It only got progressively worse as we continued filming," the producers revealed.

They went on to insist that Kenya “never tried to put a positive spin on her marriage” and that Marc was often in a “weird mood” whenever the cameras were present. “It was clear in our opinion that they just didn’t get along," the producers noted.

Although the drama in the couple’s relationship may have been entertaining to watch for viewers, the producers were not happy to see Kenya’s marriage fall apart. “We knew how much Kenya wanted her marriage to work," they explained.

Since filming “Real Housewives of Atlanta” Season 12, Kenya and Marc have sought help from a marriage counselor and have been discussing whether they should expand their family. The couple shares a daughter, Brooklyn, and Marc has children from previous relationships.

“It’s scary for him too … because Brooklyn’s not his only child, so for him, it’s like, ‘Well, how many children will I have?’ So I think that is probably the biggest issue for him,” Kenya previously told Us Weekly.

“But I don’t think he thinks he can love anyone more than he loves Brooklyn and his other children right now, so … I don’t know. They have a really strong, strong bond. And I think his fear is that, ‘What if the child comes and I don’t have this kind of bond with him because you didn’t carry her or we’re still figuring out our relationship?’”

For now, it appears Kenya and Marc are focusing on repairing their marriage and raising their daughter.
