Real Madrid could increase their chances of signing Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland with one deal.

Prior to the lockdown, Haaland has been in his best form. He has dominated Bundesliga in terms of goal scoring and this has been the reason why clubs across Europe’s top five leagues are now chasing him. One of the clubs heavily linked to the German star is Real Madrid.

The Spanish side has been reportedly weighing in on Haaland’s situation for quite some time. According to AS (via Besoccer.com), Real is currently studying a deal that would finally put Haaland at Bernabeu. Sources claim that Haaland’s future is somehow linked to what could happen to another player Achraf Hakimi, a Real Madrid bound on loan youngster.

Hakimi is a defender currently on loan at Borussia Dortmund and the club reportedly wants to extend this loan. His contract with Real will end in 2021 and reports claim that the LaLiga contenders would be evaluating what to do with him. In case Real decides not to pursue Hakimi and extend his stay with Dortmund, the assumption is that they could leverage a deal that could increase the possibility of singing Haaland.

Real Madrid are reportedly expected to push hard for Haaland, but his signing is unlikely to come to fruition this summer. Instead, the club is looking forward to the future and plans to land Haaland after two years, around the time they have already made a decision about Hakimi.

Hakimi’s agent Alejandro Camaño, on the other hand, recently spoke about his client’s future with Real Madrid. According to Camaño, Hakimi is the best in his position and they will discuss his future with Real.

“We will return to Madrid. Achraf is the best in his position," said Camaño.

Maenwhile, Serie A giants Juventus are also reportedly interested in Haaland. It has been said that Maurizio Sarri is desperate to sign the teenager next year as he is being considered as a long-term replacement for the team’s current superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, whose contract will expire in 2022.

Juventus are believed to have maintained their interested in Haaland despite the Norwegian rejecting their offer last January. It was later known that Juventus were planning to put Haaland in their Under-23 squad. The report further stated that the Old Lady could lose their veteran Gonzalo Higuain this summer, making the addition of Haaland perfect as well.
