One of the youngsters on Los Blancos’ radar is Eduardo Camavinga. AS (via Whoscored.com) reported that Real Madrid have already asked the Rennes about signing Camavinga this summer. It is also said that Real is already preparing a deal for the 17-year-old midfielder.

Camavinga broke onto the scene this season at Ligue 1. At 17, he is already displaying of maturity inside the pitch and has shown he can play in any position in midfield. Despite his lanky physique and odd stance, his ball control, chance creation and defense is incredible.

To put this into context, according to ProFootballDB data (via Besoccer.com), Camavinga is the second player in Ligue 1 this season with the most wins per 90 minutes (9.24). He is also the midfielder with the most tackles made in the same interval (4.55).

The Frenchman has emerged as a surprising talent, making him a target by the big clubs across Europe’s top five leagues. Manchester United were previously named as one of his suitors, but recent reports claim that teams have been pulling out except Real Madrid. As early as now, eagle-eyed fans are already seeing similarities in Camavinga’s game with former Barcelona superstar Iniesta.

However, Rennes’ president Nicolas Holveck recently addressed the talks about Camavinga and as of now, the team has no plans of letting go of the youngster.

“The priority will be to keep our team, which has shown all its talent in this fantastic season. We'll have to be smart in the transfer market to improve the team and make it the best we possibly can in order to pass this qualifying round,” Holveck told L’Equipe.
