La Liga Champions Real Madrid and manager Jose Mourinho are hoping to bring even more talent to the Bernabeu this summer.

According to the Daily Mirror, Madrid may be interested in last season's Premier League Golden Boot winner Robin van Persie. The 28-year-old Dutch striker released a statement on his website stating he has no intention of singing a new deal at Arsenal, though the Gunners have not yet indicated their intention to cash in on their star man.

The main suitors for van Persie have been reported as Premier League champion Manchester City and Serie A champions Juventus. City are reported to have submitted an opening bid of £15 million, though are likely to have to increase their offer to temp Arsenal into doing a deal. The Gunners are sure to prefer to sell Van Persie to a club overseas and thus Real could still be in the frame if they are prepared to offer Van Persie a hefty salary.

While van Persie's move is still in the speculative stages, Madrid seem to be finalizing a deal for Tottenham playmaker Luka Modric. Spanish publication AS has claimed that Modric now only has sights on a move to Real and that personal terms have already been agreed with the Croatian. All that remains is for the two clubs over a transfer fee. Having earlier been frustrated by Nuri Sahin's refusal to move the other way in part exchange, it is now reported that Real will offer €35 million in addition to defender Ricardo Carvalho.

Adding Modric would give Madrid one of the deepest midfields in the world, but its shopping list does not end there. The Daily Mirror reported that Mourinho is interested in young Sao Paulo star, Lucas Moura. The 19-year-old attacking midfielder could soon be heading to Europe with several clubs chasing the Brazil international.

Manchester United and Chelsea are also interested in Lucas Moura, and Madrid had previously been among the youngster's top suitors before he stated that he wanted to stay in his home country last year. However, it now appears that Inter are at the front of the queue for Lucas' signature. The player has confirmed that his representatives have met with the Italian giants with a view to a transfer.

With all of the exciting prospects coming in, it's easy to forget the other side of the transfer market: when talented players leave. Defensive midfielder Lassana Diarra has reportedly been unhappy at his lack of first-team action and could be tempted by reported interest from Tottenham.

The 27-year-old Frenchman has fallen firmly behind Sami Khedira in the pecking order and may be deemed surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu this summer.

According to a Metro report, Diarra has demanded a lofty salary, but Tottenham are still hoping to add him as part of Andre Villas-Boas's restructuring. Diarra could join Spurs for as little as £4 million.
