Reality Behind Jennifer Lopez Comforting Ex-Boyfriend Diddy Following Kim Porter's Death

Latest rumors suggest Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has found comfort in Jennifer Lopez following the sudden demise of his ex-girlfriend Kim Porter. Gossip Cop debunked the reports after speaking to the rapper’s representative.

Radar Online reported Diddy is seeking comfort from ex Jennifer Lopez after the demise of Porter, the mother of his three children, Christian, Jessie and D’Lila, last month.

The outlet quoted a source saying Lopez is “not getting back together or cheating behind A-Rod’s back.” The alleged insider also said the two are “close friends, like brother and sister who understand each other.”

“Diddy invented JLo. She was Jennifer before she met him. He is also the person that encouraged her to pursue a music career and focus on fashion Opens a New Window. She calls him her ‘fairy’ god brother and will always be there for him,” the source said.

Gossip Cop reached out to Diddy’s spokesperson who called the report “insane.”

Lopez and Diddy dated for two years before splitting in February 2001. They, however, remained friends after the split. In September, the two caught up after the final performance of her residency, “All I Have,” at the Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. They were joined by Lopez’s current boyfriend Alex Rodriguez who also shook hands with the rapper and joined their conversation. The exes were all smiles during their conversation and Lopez gave Diddy a hug before leaving.

Diddy and Porter, on the other hand, were in an on-off relationship from 1994 to 2007.

“In ending this relationship, I made a decision that was in the best interest of myself, Sean and our family. I look forward to moving on with my life and my career, and wish him prosperity, health and happiness in life and in love. We will remain friends and committed parents to our children,” Porter had said in 2007, People reported.

She was found dead at her Toluca Lake, California, home on Nov.15.

“God broke the mold when he made Kim, there was truly no other woman like her. Although her time here on earth was far too short, she lived a life full of purpose and meaning. She was a loving mother and devoted friend. She was the epitome of kindness and grace. There wasn’t a person she met [whose] soul she did not touch. Kim was the type of woman who changed lives for the better. She will be forever remembered and missed by so many. As her family, we promise to honor her every day of our lives. We love you always,” the Porter and Combs families said in a joint statement released to Associated Press.

On Monday, Diddy embarking on a new "journey" and posted a video which he captioned “Day 1.”

“Thank y’all for all y’all prayers and support. I’m now a part of the 6 a.m. crew. This is mommy/daddy, daddy/mommy checking in,” he said in the video. “New day. New life new RESPONSIBILITIES. KIM I GOT THIS! Just like you taught me!”

“Yeah so this daddy-mommy thing is beautiful. I love it. You just have to get up early every morning — like, real early,” he added.
