Reese Witherspoon took to Instagram on Tuesday to share tips on how one could improve their life this year.

The 45-year-old actress said that for a long time, she's been thinking of sharing her daily habits with her fans. Apparently, these routines include walking her dog, which she was about to do in the video.

Witherspoon also recommended the book "Atomic Habits" by James Clear, noting that even if a person only changes 1% every day, it's going to help them improve life gradually.

In her post's caption, she opened up on the habits she's been trying to adopt, writing, "Let's talk about habits! Are there any that have improved your daily life? Here are some I'm working towards."

According to the actress, she's been trying to start each day with a big glass of water. She has also been getting 10 minutes of outdoor light, noting that morning light is best, as per scientist Andrew Huberman, whom she tagged in the post.

Witherspoon said she reads for 30 to 60 minutes per day without distraction and refrains from binge-watching TV shows late at night. The actress said she goes to bed at 10 p.m. and emphasized the importance of getting eight hours of rest.

Many famous personalities took to the comments section to share their reactions to the tips and habits the actress shared.

Huberman thanked the actress in the comments section for citing him. He also explained why morning sunlight is best for people. "The daily morning sunlight viewing is sure to create a whole cascade of positive effects — the scientific literature supports this," he wrote.

Author Amanda Frederickson expressed interest in the book the actress recommended, saying, "I need to read this book!" She then talked about the beauty of walking, noting, "Walking everyday is a habit that has significantly helped my mental health."

Musician Ruby Amanfu also commented to share what habit works for her, writing, "Saying 'Thank you, God. We've got this.' before getting out of bed. Hot water w/ lemon or ACV without fail. Daily deep/meditative breathing throughout the day. Finding a way to genuinely laugh at least once a day, even when I'm sad."

"I've been making your green smoothies a few times a week too but fully wish I had someone to make them for me cuz dang, girl, that's a lot of romaine to prep," Amanfu added.

Meanwhile, author Ina Garten shared a rather hilarious response to Witherspoon's post.

"That sounds great but I'm probably not doing any of those things! LOL!! My formula is easier to follow," she wrote before sharing her tips. "1. Drink more large cosmos 2. Stay up late watching addictive streaming series, 3. Stay in bed in the morning playing Sudoku instead of reading a good book. 4. Spend more time (safely) with people you love. In a pandemic, I do what I can!"

It appears many fans can relate to this particular comment, which has so far garnered more than 11,500 likes.

On the work front, Witherspoon will be seen in movies "Your Place or Mine," "Legally Blonde 3," "Wish List" and "Tinker Bell."
